Alia Pollet, Owner and Therapist

Becoming a Sex Therapist has been a long journey of seeking and personal work. Taking on the challenge of doing my own personal work through experimentation, and years of trainings. I have lovingly embraced my innate healing abilities, and have chosen to focus them towards the power of teaching deeper sexual connection. I believe that every person has the ability to embody the sexual being they’ve always imagined they could be. Within the principles of unlearning, dissecting the taboos around sex can be one of the hardest things to face in your personal journey.

Shame and guilt within our culture’s sex education programs is deeply imbedded within our subconscious, and it’s not until we start to inquire within that we really understand the depths of its hold on our sexual lives. I encourage you to be curious of what is unknown to you, and embrace playfulness in a safe accepting space.

Are you ready to dive deeper into your sexual self and explore your deeper knowing?

Slowing Down To Self-care

When we take the time to stop and slow down, we allow our nervous system to find a new normal. If it isn't an emergency, let it be. Recently I heard a concept that "Maturity equals slowness" (@playakasha), and this phrase took my mind down a rabbit hole of theories that connected some dots. When we age naturally we are forced to slow down physically as nature runs its course, as well as the mind making it harder for thought to come to the forefront of our brains. This concept that got me contemplating life helped me to [...]

Embracing My 30’s

“Are you here so that you can stay the same?” Every generation comes with a different expectation to social standards. Whether that is beauty expectations, financial status, or environmental concerns; American social dynamics will be an ever evolving (and devolving) system. During my lifetime, one thing has remained the same, our society's addiction to youthfulness is ever present. Historically all cultures have focused on youthfulness because its connection to fertility, and the importance of the continuation of the family line. What happens to our elders? What happens to the generation in transition to adulthood? I remember the day I turned [...]

Creativity as Healing

Recognizing The Importance of Creative Expression As a child we learn to hold a crayon, and create colorful shapes that we us to mimic the world around us. As we grow we get to explore with glue and glitter, or paint and clay; constantly reshaping our understanding of the reality we live in. As we develop our perception of our surroundings, we get to express ourselves through our unique artistic creations. Creativity is also a way to connect with other people, by sharing our understanding of the world through our creative forms. Exploring our artistic side allows for healing [...]
